A little Country Christmas…

I so love quilting.  I have fond memories of my grandmother’s quilts.  I keep thinking at some point, I will pick up the hobby.  I have a few hurdles….one I look at my paper wall and think how much that would cost in fabric!  Two, I am doing good to sew buttons on or a simple stitch on a card…let alone a whole quilt!  So for now, I quilt with my paper!  I created a set of twenty of these cards for a local fundraiser.  By the time, I finished…I was thinking maybe I should have done a quilt!  I am not certain that fabric squares would take much longer than my paper squares!  I finished out the inside as well.

My card was created with mostly retired products.  I so loved the Pear & Partridge Collection by Close To My Heart, that I had saved all my little scraps.  I turned those scraps into these cards! After finishing the quilt blocks, I felt the cards needed a little bit more.  I cut out some snowflakes with the Cricut Artiste Collection and added them to the top of the quilts.  Fingers crossed, that they bring in a nice donation for the family in need.
