Welcome to the Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! We will be featuring April’s SOTM, You Are…, a set of 15 stamps. If you have come here from Kim’s Blog,
you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you
can start here and work your way all around. If you get lost along the
way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants here.
This
month we over 50 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations
using this month’s SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs.
This is simple to do – just click on the link at the end of the post on
each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!
I love the versatility of the April Stamp of the Month. My youngest is about to start T-Ball and I can see the stamps working perfect for T-Ball backgrounds. You could make so many fun cards and scrapbook pages with the sayings as well. My card is based on the sketch challenge this week at Deconstructing Jen. Here is the original sketch design-
All supplies by Close To My Heart, except where noted:
Z1686 Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge
S1204 You Are SOTM
X7145B Cruisin Paper Packet
X5668 Twilight Cardstock
1385 White Daisy Cardstock
Z1225 Dimensional Elements
Tuxedo Black Ink by Memento
Z891 VersaMark Ink Pad
Z670 Black Embossing Powder
Z1263 Bitty Sparkles
BG18 Teal Copic Sketch
Z679 Liquid Glass
All of the decorative shapes were cut with the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge. I colored my dimensional elements with the Copic Sketch and then covered with Liquid Glass. My sayings were stamped with Memento Ink and then stamped again with VersaMark and then clear embossed. I think my word edges come out sharper going this route vs. direct embossing with black embossing powder.
