We are back with a fun new sketch at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge! This is also part 2 of the continued saga of me crafting on the road! Did I mention how blessed I am to have a craft room? In case you missed part 1, I have not crafted on the go in years. Decades ago, I only crafted on the go. All of my supplies were mobile and I had a system that mostly worked. Now, I am obviously a stationary crafter. I have a plethora of supplies at my fingertips in my craft room and I seem to have lost the skills necessary to pack for crafting on the go! Thankfully the sketch this week is fairly simple, so I was successful with minimal supplies! Here is the original sketch design-
I strayed slightly from the sketch….in part due to my lack of stamps! While I did grab a Craft with Heart kit to craft on the road….I failed to remember that I had already removed the stamp set from the kit. So the sentiment stamps are still sitting on my desk at home!
Crafting without sentiment stamps or cardstock is quite challenging. I ended up picking up this scripty hello die by Lawn Fawn while on the road. I created my own pink paper by sponging Distress Oxide ink onto White Daisy cardstock. The smooth finish of Distress Oxide inks makes creating your own papers super easy. My hello sentiment was cut three times and stacked together for added dimension. Due to my lack of embellishments, I subbed in the butterfly and floral cluster. They were both applied with 3-D foam tape for added dimension.
All supplies by Close To My Heart, except where noted:
- 1385 White Daisy Cardstock
- Baby Girl Pattern Paper Pad-Paper Studio
- Z3827 Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Ink Pad
- Scripty Hello Die-Lawn Fawn
I have entered my card in the following challenges:
