Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #432

We are back with a new sketch at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge! This sketch is perfect for your holiday crafting! The simple design works well for all occasions too! For me, the days are flying by too fast….and I need to get cranking on the holiday cards! Here is the original sketch design for you to play along-

My card was created with the super fun White Pines Collection! I have recently posted a few cards in the brown and red tones…..well turn the paper over and you can get blue and brown tones! I honestly thought the red tones were my favorite, but the Glacier and Espresso combination has won me over! Here is a look at the complete White Pines Collection, items are available individually or save 20% when you purchase a bundle!

My card is super simple to create. I started with an A2 sized Espresso base and added a layer of Glacier cardstock. The sentiment was stamped in Espresso pigment ink and clear embossed. Sadly, our pigment inks are being retired. They are a personal favorite of mine. If you love them, you want to stock up now, before they are all gone! I cut my Glacier printed paper into 1 1/2″ x 1 1/2″ and 1 1/2″ x 2″. I sponged on Espresso ink along the edges to give the pieces more contrast. A few pieces of burlap twine adds some additional texture to the card. The snowman and large snowflake are from the sticker sheet and were applied with 3-D foam tape. I really wanted a third element, so stamped a tiny snowflake in Glacier ink onto some scrap sticker paper. A few dots of Liquid Glass on the snowman’s eyes and buttons help bring him to life.
