Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #444

If you have Halloween cards to mail, time is running out to get them created! The sketch this week at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge is perfect for a Halloween creation. I did follow the sketch almost exactly in design, but totally made the Boo Crew papers my own!

I know we all love pattern paper….and chances are most of us, have a lifetime supply! I have decided to start using my papers vs hoarding them! But, we all have those papers that just don’t quite fit with our crafting needs. For instance, I really don’t have that many people that I am going to send a pink Halloween card too. And most of my scrapbook pages are more on the masculine side. Yet, I love the Boo Crew Collection….just not the pink ghost print. So, I made it an orange ghost print! I simply went over the pink paper with a Copic marker and covered up the pink for a more traditional Halloween feel. Super cute, super simple and it now meets my crafting needs.

My title was created with the Block Alphabet Thin Cuts, which are currently on the clearance rack for a great price! I cut each letter three times and stacked them together for added dimension. My Halloween sentiment is from the For All Occasions stamp set. The sentiment was stamped in Intense Black ink, quickly fussy cut and mounted with 3-D foam tape. The moon and bats are a sticker from the Boo Crew Collection, that was mounted with 3-D foam tape as well. A scattering of sequins from the Got Candy Collection finishes off the card. October 31, 2021 is the last day to take advantage of the Boo Crew Bundle savings! You can check out the full collection here.

  4. Hello Allisa, that’s a very clever idea to colour the patterned paper to suit the project. Will have to file that idea for when I can’t find just what I want in my piles of paper!

Fabulous card as well, great layout and love the clean lines.
