Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #451

We are back with another great sketch at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. I decided the sketch was a great card and copied it almost exactly. I am still cranking out a few last minute Christmas creations, how about you? Here is the original sketch design-

I have added a few new Christmas supplies to my card making stash. I seem to have found an obsession with poinsettias! I am a total failure at getting these gorgeous plants to thrive, so they shall live on forever in the craft form! My stunning poinsettia is a Texture Fades die from Tim Holtz. This is my first time using a Texture Fade die, I so love the details. You first cut the shapes as you normally would, then you emboss them with the coordinating embossing folder to add all the details. The embossing brings your poinsettia to life. On the plus side, I think I can keep this one alive!

To create my card, I die cut and embossed my poinsettia die. I then added sponged on Pomegranate ink for shading and added some bling with a gold shimmer brush. I stacked each layer of the poinsettia with 3-D foam tape for added dimension. I loved the layers of the sketch, so basically copied those exactly! The hardest part of this card was lining up my cut shapes in the embossing folder, otherwise it is actually super simple to create!
