Back To School

I am honored to be a Guest Designer today over at Use it Tuesday! The challenge theme this week is All About School.  You are encouraged to use up your stash in their challenges.  I dug out some really oldies as well as an upcoming Stamp of the Month for my card.  My card is based on the sketch challenge this week at Retro Sketches.  Here is the original sketch-

The really old items from my stash are the printed ribbon and the argyle embossing folder.  The ribbon was retired many years ago by Close To My Heart, I felt it was a perfect fit for my school based card.  Not sure how long the argyle embossing folder has been hanging around gathering dust.  I am sure ever since Provocraft released it!  One of those things you think you have to have……but there is sat, still in its original packaging.  A clean and simple card with a pop of red.  The stamp set is the only “new” item on my card.  The stamp is part of the upcoming December Stamp of the Month. I layered the apple and banner to give a little more dimension to my card.  Hard to tell from the pic, but I added a bit of twine string for the stem of the apple.  Many of your regulars will guess where that bit of twine came from……………my burlap of course!  I never throw any of it away!  The little bits are great for threading buttons and adding embellishments to  your creations.

All supplies by Close To My Heart, except where noted:

S1212 Year Round Cheer

1385 White Daisy Cardstock

1272 Cranberry Cardstock

Z2502 Enchantment Pigment Inks
