Banner Birthday Card

It
is round or square week at Mojo Monday.
I started off with the square version and hope to be back this week with
the round version.  For some reason, I
thought I would have more crafting time when school started…..that is turning
out to be not the case.  Instead of
crafting, I seem to have homework duty!
One can only hope that a routine will settle in soon!

I
thought the banner theme would be perfect for the Banners & Flags Challenge at CAS-ual Fridays.  I have a little more embellishments on this card than my normal CAS designs.  I stuck with minimal layers to keep it on the simple side.  This really was a quick and easy card to make.  A few banners, strip of ribbon and a rolled flower.

I
have seen numerous cards in blog land with the banners curled up.  I always tend to make sure every layer is
firmly glued down!  I stepped out of my
comfort zone and curled the edges of my banner.
I love the little bit of dimension that they add to the card.

The
rolled flower was cut with the Cricut Artiste cartridge.  The leaves are canvas shapes from the Avonlea Collection.  My base background paper is hand stamped.

All supplies by Close To My Heart, except where noted:

Z1686 Cricut Art Philosophy (ovals)

Z1790 Cricut Artiste (flower)

D1475-Card Chatter-Birthday

G1045 Avonlea WOTG Kit
