Black Tie Friday’s

There is a new challenge blog in town.  Black Tie Friday’s!  They are now on Challenge #10 and would really like to have at least ten participants this week.  I have been a follower of the blog for a few weeks, but have yet to have time to enter a card.  I broke away from the Christmas cards to enter a card for their current challenge of using black and white with a cut out.

I attempted to keep my card on the masculine side. I could not resist adding a bow and a little bling…hopefully the diamond plate embossing will make up for it! My saying was cut with the Cricut Artiste cartridge and mounted on foam tape to my black cardstock.  My red heart is a coordinating shape on the Artiste cartridge.  I first cut the heart out of Cranberry cardstock….wanted a little more bling, so added Diamond Stickles.  I then went over the Stickles with a Cranberry marker for added color.

I have also entered my card in the following challenges:

Card Crafter’s Circle-Texture

Hiding in My Craft Room-Glitz & Glam

Speedy & Friends-Pop It Up

Totally Papercrafts-CAS Black & White

  1. I really like your card, Alissa. Hopefully you don't mind that I kinda cased it to make my Christmas card! It was my first time playing with my Artiste cartridge. So much fun!
