CAS Retro Sketch

I
am trying to step outside of my comfort zone with my card making.  It just seems after awhile, that my cards
start having the same feel to them.  I am
a huge fan of stitching on cards.  The
sewing machine is not my friend.  I have
tried, truly tried to make friends with my sewing machine.   I think we might be to the point to where we
are on speaking terms!  I decided to
change things up a little on the sketch this week at Retro Sketches.  Instead of going with my usual cardstock
strip on my card, I added stitching for the vertical panel.  (This was after much discussion and pleading
with the sewing machine)  Here is the
original sketch design-

I
added bling to my flowers and a little glitter, with my Spica pen, to the
vine.  I topped off my layered flower
with a bling button.  The bling on my CAS
card is for the CAS-ual Fridays challenge to add bling to your CAS card.

Note,
I said Mr……………….the sewing machine has to be a man!  If it were female, I am sure we would be able
to reason with each other much more easily.

have also entered this card in the following challenges:

  1. Oh I so hear you on Mr Sewing Machine. He and I have decided to remain mortal enemies. I adore stitching on cards and yours is particularly sweet. I think stitching can go overboard…but yours is just a fun and interesting highlight…PERFECT!

  2. You did a beautiful job with this sketch. I love the simplicity of your card. The stitching really adds to your card. Maybe someday I'll quit being lazy and pull my machine out of the closet… Just have to find a place to set it up!

  3. Lovely Allisa! The delicacy of the stamping pairs so well with the larger flower. Your stitching was the perfect touch. 🙂 Hugs!
