CASE Study #92

Super
simple, CAS styling with lots of bling!
I know CAS does not normally entail lots of bling….but those beads pack
a punch in small doses.  My card is based
on the CASE Study Challenge this week.  Here is the original inspiration photo by Agnieszka.

I
love how she showcased the letter M for Mother’s Day.  My birthday card stash is getting depleted,
so I first thought of HB for Happy Birthday. Design
Team member Debby Hughes
mentioned using beads on her card.  Light
bulb went off!  I have tons of beads that
I have owned for over a decade, unopened!
Since I am on a mission to use my stash, this was the perfect
opportunity. Here is a closer look at my bead detail-

My
photos do not do them justice.  In real
life, they shimmer and shine!  All supplies by Close To My Heart, except where noted:

Z1686 Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge

D1400 Birthday Stamp Set

1385 White Daisy Cardstock

1386 Black Cardstock

Retired Raspberry Cardstock

Tuxedo Black Ink by Memento

Glass Beads by Gary M Burlin

Z1104 Clear Sparkles

RV17 Deep Magenta Copic Sketch

Design Tips-The font is from the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge.  I used the negative image and popped the layer up from my cardbase.  I colored my clear sparkles with the Copic Sketch to match my color scheme.  The Raspberry cardstock was retired many years ago from Close To My Heart.  I failed to purchase a reinker for this pad….and after 14 years of use….my Raspberry Ink pad has bit the dust.  If anyone wants to part with a Raspberry Reinker, let me know!  I hoarded the cardstock away…..sadly not the reinker!

I have also entered this card in the following challenges:

  3. Fantastically done, Allisa! I love that idea with the beads, and may have to use it myself since I also have tons of unused beads. Thanks for entering our "Black, White, & 1 bit of Color" challenge at Lexi's Creations this week. Hope to see you playing again and again.

  7. I kept the beads corralled from the get go. I opened the jar inside a container and pressed them into the adhesive before removing the card. The last thing I need is thousands of little beads on the loose!
