Burlap has a permanent spot on my craft desk…at least for the next few weeks! I figure snow will be flying after that and I will need to move onto snowflakes! Then again, I can also see burlap snowflake cards in the future! I created my card based on the sketch challenge this week at CAS(E) this Sketch–
This card has so many textures, yet really is CAS! I promise, it is just a few die cuts! My base is created with the stunning Stitched Woodgrain Backdrop die by Lawn Fawn. I love it almost as much as burlap…which is saying alot! My super cute burlap tag was cut with the Cricut Art Philosophy Collection. Have you heard the news….all of the Close To My Heart Cricut Collections have made a come back! You can now purchase any of the past favorites you might have missed, through my affiliate link at Cricut! The cartridges are all digital now, so there is no waiting for them to ship!
I used the Autumn Blessings stamp set for the details on my tag. Those pumpkins are too cute and I love the font! I inked everything with Espresso Pigment Ink and clear embossed. I then added color to my pumpkin with Goldrush Reinker and a waterbrush. Here is a look at the complete set-
Design Tip: I adhered my cardstock to the burlap with Liquid Glass adhesive. Often tape runners do not give you a lasting bond when it comes to burlap. I have found that Liquid Glass holds everything together nicely. I applied a tiny bit to my knot of twine on my tag to keep it secure as well.
