CAS(E) this Sketch #355

Hello everyone!  Excited to announce that I am a Guest Designer over at CAS(E) this Sketch this week! I have always been a huge fan, so was super excited to be asked to play along.  My card is slightly out of my element!  My normal style is clean with lots of layers.  I managed to keep the layers, but the splatters almost got the best of me! I have the same struggles with watercolors.  I so love the look, but the “must have it perfect” syndrome about does me in. Obviously there is no such thing as perfect splatters…but I still need them in just the right spot AND just the right color!  Even when I thought I had the color just right….by the time I got to the photograph, they had changed ever so slightly!  Here is a look at the sketch, so you can come play along-

My floral image and banner were stamped in Intense Black ink and then colored with Copics. I popped them up on a stitched die cut panel.  My splatter was created with Thistle reinker, lightly sprayed with water.  A few bitty sparkles finish it off.

All supplies by Close To My Heart, except where noted:

G1196 Spruced Up Cardmaking Kit

1385 White Daisy Cardstock

Z4189 Intense Black Exclusive Inks Stamp Pad

Copics-R24, R27, V12, V15, G24, G43

Z2740 Thistle Reinker

Z1263Bitty Sparkles

Stitched Die-MFT

I have entered my card in the following challenges:

  3. This is so pretty!! I love the colors you chose and your splatters are fabulous!! I know what you mean, though, about trying to get the splatters "perfect." You just have to let that go, though, when you do this technique!! Congrats on being the GD!!
