Cat Up a Tree….

Many
of you may be wondering where I have been the past couple of days……………the title
of the post might help you out!  I have
been dealing with a cat up a tree for three days!  Not really a cat…but not really a kitten
anymore.  She somehow managed to escape
to the great outdoors.  She also picked
the tallest tree around to take refuge in.
Day one, the weather was nice, she seemed scared, but I figured she would
come down.  I checked on her ever couple
of hours.  No luck in getting her down.  Day two, the weather changes, rain and snow
set in.  Now she is really not happy, but
still not coming down.  (Note-I am no
longer happy checking on her in the rain and snow either!) I call animal
control, they assure me she will come down on her own.  They said the longest they have had a cat up
a tree was four days.  Day three, still crummy
weather and the cat seems to be having some problems getting around in the
tree.  My son fetches the neighbor kid…who
decides he will climb the tree to retrieve the cat. The cat is definitely a
tree hugger, and wants to stay in tree, but is really happy to see someone!
Finally able to retrieve the cat and bring her back inside.  (Note to neighbor-long sleeves might help if
there is a next time!)  Life is now
getting back to normal…it seems the saying is, you never see dead cats in trees….but
I have to wonder just how smart our cat is!

I still had my Cruisin
paper pack out on my desk, so I proceeded to make a thank you card for the
neighbor from the cat.  I based the card
on this week’s Mojo Monday sketch.  Here
is the original sketch-

 I
don’t have a lot of crafty cat items, they are normally not the focus of my
cards or scrapbooks.  I recently picked
up the cat stamp from a blog win at deconstructing jen, which was donated by Scrappin’ Great Deals.  The stamp is the only cat stamp I have!  I made my own pattern paper by adding text in
coordinating colors in Word and printed out for my banner.
