Catered Crop Flower Power

I had high hopes of going to the Scrapbook Expo today and had my heart set on coming home with new toys to play with…………did not happen!  So, I had to raid my stash for new toys!  Catered Crop is having a Flower Power Recipe Swap, so flowers were a must.  I inked up the upcoming June Stamp of the Month, A Flowering Bunch for my popped up flower.  Consider this a sneak peek.    The set features some really cute flowers and the majority have a coordinating Cricut shape!  No new papers in my stash…so I pulled out some old favorites, Sophia, to create my card.  My card is based on the sketch challenge this week at The Sweet Stop.

I kept the inside clean and simple and inked up some new birthday stamps!

Design Tips: My flower shape was cut with the Cricut Artiste cartridge and then stamped with the coordinating stamp.  My flower stem was hand cut.  My center panel is Hollyhock cardstock, which has been embossed with a Polka Dot folder and then sanded to allow the white core to show through.

All supplies by Close To My Heart, except where noted:
