Hope everyone had time to create on World Cardmaking Day last weekend! I started this card, but ended up doing more organizing than stamping! I finally braved my fears and opened the box of my Scan n Cut. It is sorda hard for the machine to pay for itself, if I never take it out of the closet. My fears were totally unfounded, it was super easy to use. If you mass produce cards, I don’t see how you could live without one. I, on the other hand, usually am making one of a kind cards. I decided the best option for me, was to cut multiple images and store the images with my stamp set for future use. It basically takes the same amount of time to scan n cut one image vs twenty images. While doing my reorganizing, I did try and keep up with the Cardmaking Day festivities. My card is based on the sketch challenge at Jillibean Soup.
My card is created with the new Cats & Bats line by Close To My Heart. This Halloween line up is prefect for my crafting needs, not too scary and not too cutesy. While I admit, I love cutesy Halloween images….my children do not…and scary is just not for me. There are multiple stamp sets available with coordinating dies if you wish! You can check out the whole line up here. The set I created my card with was created for scrapbooking, but I love it for cards as well. Here is a look at the full set-
You can purchase just the stamp set or a bundle with matching dies. Dies are included for the images outline in blue.
Design Tip: My BOOO! image was colored with Prismacolor pencils and blended with Gamsol for a smooth finish.

Great Halloween card! The colors are so bright and fun!! That spider gives me the willies but I'm glad it's only 2 dimensional. LOL Thank you for playing with us at Retro Rubber and hope you will be back in our gallery again soon.
I like the way the spider is dropping down over the giant letters. I also like the way you've used green and black as your main colours. Thanks for joining us at Retro Rubber for our Halloween Challenge.
What a fun Halloween card you've created. Great idea about the scan and cuts, cut a few and store with the image! Lovely job coloring and blending. Thanks for joining the fun over at Retro Rubber for our Boo challenge!
