CCAYR August Challenge for Kids

Hello-I have multiple posts up today.  If you came here seeking the August Stamp of the Month Blog Hop, please scroll down to my older post.  Now on to my current card! Time
for a new challenge at Christmas Cards All Year Long. The challenge this month is to create a Christmas Card for Kids. Our sponsor this month is Platypus Creek Digitals.  The cute little boy on my Card is Candy Cane Oliver, which is one of their newest digi stamps.  I paper pieced him and added a little shading with my Copics.  After paper piecing the candy cane, I added a layer of liquid glass.  Not only does the liquid glass add dimension to my candy cane….it also insures none of the little paper pieces come off when the card is in transit!  I carried on the striped theme with my pattern paper and baker’s twine.
