Christmas Story Poinsettia

Snowflake themed Christmas cards have always been my favorite to create…..but the poinsettia is gaining ground quickly! I seem to be collecting all things poinsettia! The moment I saw the poinsettias in the Christmas Story paper line, I was hooked! Here is a look at the complete line up of papers-

This is one paper pack that I am sure to use up completely! No more hoarding the pretty papers, share them with those you love with your handmade creations! My card is based on the sketch challenge this week at Freshly Made Sketches–

While the sketch is square, I kept my card an A2 size…mostly for the cost of postage! In the US, square cards require additional postage and I am trying to keep the mailing costs to a minimum. My card is super simple to create, just a few basic layers. I cut my pattern paper to follow the sketch design. A matted circle was added for the sentiment, which was stamped in Candy Apple red ink. The poinsettia was popped up with 3-D foam tape for added dimension. A few gold stars complete the card.
