I am sneaking in under the wire to play along with Freshly Made Sketches this week! Embossing seems to be my thing this weekend. I have been stamping over twenty years, but still remember the oohs and aahs from watching my first embossing demo. I still love watching the embossing powder melt into a shiny raised image. If you have yet to try embossing, you are so missing out! Here is a look at the great sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches, if you are going to play along, you need to hurry! Entries close today! My card is heavily influenced by DT member, Linda Callahan.
I kept my card CAS for the color challenge at Less is More. Less is More is celebrating their 8th Birthday this month, so a Birthday card seemed fitting for the color challenge of navy and yellow.
My card is made with the new Dandelion Wishes stamp set from Close To My Heart. I so love the birthday font! Here is a look at the complete set-

Great use of our challenge colors. I love the movement you created. Thanks so much for playing with us at Less Is More.
I love this bright and happy card, and I still feel the same way about heat embossing too. So good to see you in the FMS gallery, Allisa!
Hi Allisa! Love the embossed black against the yellow…..looks terrific!
This is such a great card! Love that embossed dandelion! Looks so pretty against that yellow background! Thanks for joining us this week at Freshly Made Sketches!
I remember the first time I saw embossing – I thought it was like magic! The dandelion blowing in the wind is perfect for the sketch!
This is terrific! I love the bold colour combination, and how perfectly placed all the elements are. Plus, I am a firm believer in heat embossing all things possible. 😀 Thanks for linking up with us at Seize the Birthday!
A beautiful combination of challenges ! Love the bright and bold yellow background you've made to pop up this beautiful and delicate dandelion ! A great and CAS birthday card. Thanks so much for sharing and for playing along at Less is More. x
