Dynamic Duos #19

 The
color duo this week at Dynamic Duos is Cajun Craze & Always Artichoke.  I incorporated Ruby and New England Ivy by Close To My Heart as my base colors.  My neutral is Colonial White and burlap!  I figured burlap was close enough to Kraft to be called a neutral color.

My card is based on the sketch this week at Try Stampin On Tuesday.

I
trimmed down a piece of burlap ribbon for my bow.  I tied a bow on my button with a leftover strip of burlap.  The burlap ribbon goes along with the burlap pattern on my pattern paper.  The holly pattern paper is part of the Handmade Holiday line by Simple Stories.

I
finished out the inside of the card with an additional piece of pattern paper from the same line.  Using lighter colored patterned paper for the inside of your cards is an easy way to embellish the inside of your card without adding bulk.  The light graph on this paper also means, this is one card that my handwritten note will actually be straight on as well!

  1. Allisa, I love these colors for a holiday card and the addition of the burlap bow is awesome! It's very "country Christmas" and I love it. I had to laugh at your comment about the grid paper and writing straight…I have the same challenge. Lol! Have a great weekend! Hugs! πŸ™‚
