Dynamic Duos #23 & a GIVEAWAY!

We are having a Bold & Sassy color duo this week at Dynamic Duos!  We want to see your creations made with Tangerine Tango & Old Olive.  I created my card with Orange and Olive by Close To My Heart.  I might have gotten slightly carried away with the black tulle! Neutral colors are allowed, I had just originally planned on the black being more of an accent!

I have been waiting for just the project to pull out my black tulle ribbon!  Hopefully I am not the only one that designs cards in my head…..when “thinking” up this card…I decided that a tulle frame would be a great focal point for my CAS card.  I pleated one layer of tulle on my circle…..and it just did not seem to have the impact I wanted.  So, of course, I added another layer!  I loved the effect just looking at the circle.  Sadly my embellished focal point covers up most of  my cute stamped chevron banners!

My card is based on the fun sketch at Fab Friday!

Now for the Giveaway portion of my post. While searching for the perfect size jack o lantern for my design…I came across this little jack o lantern set by CDS stamps.  For whatever reason I have two of them in my stamp drawer.  Neither set had ever seen ink.  I inked up one set to create my card and the other one would really like a home to get inky in as well!  All you have to do is leave a comment below for a chance to win.  Everyone is welcome to enter.  I will pick the winner from all comments on October 10, 2012.  Hopefully this will allow you a little time to create with the little guy or use him for scrapbook pages after Halloween.  The stamp set includes a solid pumpkin, stem, leaf, swirl, face, and the Boo! saying.  The stamp set would be cute for fall cards/pages as well….just leave off the jack o lantern face!

I have also entered my card in the following challenges:

Catered Crop-Halloween

Craft Us Crazy-Halloween

Divas by Design-Texture

Fab n Funky-No Pattern Paper (my card is created with cardstock and ink only!)

Made Especially For You-Halloween Card w/Banner

Ribbon Carousel-Halloween Spirit

Party Time Tuesday-Frightfully Scarey

Perfect Sentiment Challenge-Halloween w/pop of color

The Pink Elephant-Banners

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Be sure and check out the DT creations at Dynamic Duos!  Leave a comment below for your chance to win the Jack o Lantern stamp set!
