Dynamic Duos #6

We
are having a Subtle & Soft Color Duo this week at Dynamic Duos-Regal Rose
& Basic Gray. If you do not have Regal Rose & Basic Gray, you are welcome to use similar colors along with neutrals of your choice.  I chose Blush and Grey Wool from Close To My Heart in my creations along with Colonial White for my neutral color.

My
card is based on the sketch this week at Mojo Monday

Considering
I have all boys……..I do not have a lot of pink papers in my stash.  I thought of making my card with just
cardstock, but wanted the look of DSP.  I started out with plain cardstock in Blush, Grey Wool and Colonial White.  I stamped my side panel in second generation Grey Wool ink with the script stamp.  I then stamped the flower on top in Blush Ink.  I added the Grey Wool centers to the top.  My large layered flower was cut with the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge in Colonial White.  I then stamped the background stamp in Blush ink and sponged the edges.  I popped up each layer to give the flower more dimension.

Along
with the no pink paper stash, goes the no pink ribbon scenario! Color Ready Seam Binding Ribbon to the rescue!  I love this ribbon, it is my go to ribbon! It takes color so easy!  You can sponge it, dye it, have it straight or crinkled!  So versatile! I sponged on Blush ink and added a double bow.  I added the little twine bow on top to add interest.  I sponged Blush ink on the Grey Wool twine as well. A beaded stick pin finishes it off.

I got my card all ready to upload on my blog tomorrow and see that it has some green on it so it won't qualify. I'll be more careful next time.
    Cheers, Karen
