Time for a new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches! You will have to excuse the picture quality of this card. 40 takes later, I have done the best I can do! Sometimes you just need natural light and that is something that I do not have! In person, this card really pops…..with flash photography, not so much! Here is the original sketch before I go into the details, since my photo is not worth a thousand words!
As soon as I saw the sketch, I knew I wanted to use flowers from the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge in some form. I ended up going with Flower 5 from page 48 of the booklet. I cut my flowers in 1 ½. 1 ¼, 1 and ¾”. I then stamped the flowers with the flower stamp from the Pemberly WOTG stamp set. I stamped in VersaMark ink and then clear embossed. While this gives a great shimmery effect in person…..it does not photograph well under lights! Anyone have any tips for photographing shiny objects without natural light?
This photo shows some of the layering and details on the card. The colors are actual Raspberry and Sunny Yellow with orange accents. The card is brighter in person than the pics show. Raspberry has long since been retired from Close To My Heart, but I have a stash of it hidden away. The reason I chose these three colors…is because I am also entering this card in the color challenge at CR84FN.
The colors on my card match the challenge photo almost exactly in person! All supplies by Close To My Heart, except where noted:

YR07 Cadmium Orange Copic Sketch
Smooch Spray by ClearSnap
Design Tips-My bitty sparkles were colored with the Copic sketch to bring in the orange accent color to my flowers. I inked my butterflies in yellow ink and rolled the edges in orange. The butterfly is from the Tree Stamp set. I sprayed the butterflies with Smooch spray after stamping. The banners are hand cut. The flowers are layered with foam dots to add dimension.
Thanks for stopping by!
