Freshly Made Sketches #373

I am a sucker for anything cat related. It must be an age thing….I would have sworn that I was always a dog person.  As I get older though, I have really come to appreciate the self sufficient cat! I am well on my way to crazy cat lady status.  Every time my son wants to adopt another cat, I tell him I really think that would qualify me for crazy cat lady status.  He is always quick to say, no you would have to have “x” number of cats to be considered crazy.  His number varies, he usually picks a number one higher than our current crew plus an adoptee!  We currently have five felines along with numerous other critters. If you haven’t already, please spay or neuter your critters!  It is crazy how many animals need homes.  I do transport as time permits for local rescues….it kills me to not be able to give more animals a home.  But, my current crew has said no more, unless we get a bigger house!  Off my soapbox and back to stamping!  Close To My Heart recently released super cute cat and dog stamp sets.  So, If you happen to be a dog person, there is a set for you as well!  I inked up my new stamps for the sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches.   Here is a look at the sketch, so that you can join in.

 Believe it or not, this card started off as navy and green.  I pulled out the papers and then started coloring my kitty.  One thing lead to another, and we ended up with the pink and grey scheme!  I had yet to clean off my desk from my last card, and decided the pink and grey was a better fit. The cute little bow tie sealed the deal!

My kitty was colored with Prismacolors and blended with Gamsol.  I added paw prints to my pattern paper with coordinating ink.  I also stamped a border of paw prints on the inside of the card and colored the hearts in pink.  This set will be fun to play with and I see a rainbow of cats in my future! (Both stamped and furry companions!)
