Freshly Made Sketches #413

I couldn’t wait to ink up the December, Stamp of the Month, Reindeer Crossing.  I just love the images and sentiments in this set! I decided my Caribou would be the perfect stand in for the big squiggly design in this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge

I dry embossed my background panel and added in a few sequins for more snowflakes.  I colored my Caribou with Copics.  I don’t have Caribou in my area, so had to research their shading.  It was only after I colored my image that I saw that they actually change colors! Even their eyes change colors! So I might have ended up with a summer Caribou in my winter scene. Let’s just say it is the first snowfall of the season and this guy has not changed colors yet!

I added in a pair of reindeer to the inside of my card as well.  I love how the texture of this stamp make them appear as if they were sketched in. If you have yet to see the full stamp set, here it is-
