Sympathy cards are never easy to make…but the Sunflower Sympathy stamp set is gorgeous and can be used for many other occasions as well! Back by popular demand, this set has been added to the Online Only section of my website. In case you missed it when it first came out, here is the complete set-
The sunflower comes with three layers, I only used two of the layers in my card today. I stamped the outer and inner layers with Espresso Pigment ink onto Saffron cardstock and heat embossed in clear. I stamped my leaves the same onto New England Ivy cardstock. I then fussy cut the images out. I layered my sentiment strip onto a white panel and then die cut the stitched frame. My sunflower was applied with 3-D foam tape for added dimension. I cut the outer edge flush with my panel after applying.
While I do not enjoy making sympathy cards, I do like to have them on hand to send out. Having a variety of sympathy stamps makes creating the cards so much easier. If you have not seen the new Close To My Heart releases, we have a new Heartfelt Sympathy sentiment set. This set includes numerous sentiments for the inside of your cards. I kept the inside of my card simple, with a stamped sentiment and stitched frame.
Here is a look at the complete set of With Heartfelt Sympathy–
My card was created based on the sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches. The challenge ends today, so you need to hurry if you plan on entering the challenge!
