Freshly Made Sketches #430

The Where Happiness Blooms stamp set is perfect for Spring thank you cards!  Tulips are on of my favorite flowers….but they are also a hit with the local wildlife as well!  I figure they must be pretty tasty, cause they never last!  My card is created based on the sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches

I colored my image a little differently than I have in the past.  While this is a layered stamp set, I chose to just ink up the base image and then add color with Prismacolor pencils.  My watering can is stamped in Pebble ink and then I added color to the image with my pencils.  The pencils were blended out with Gamsol.  In keeping with the sketch, I cut a hexagon shape out of vellum for the background.  I colored the backside of the vellum with a Copic marker for a little added color.  My watering can is applied with 3-D foam tape for added dimension.  A little twine bow and a few sequins finish off the card. My sequins are iridescent with a purple tone….but of course that is not the color my camera picked up!  Here is a look at the complete stamp set-
