Getting my sunflower fix for the day! I wouldn’t say that yellow is my color…but I love how sunflowers pop! A quick and simple card for the sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches–
I created my card with a lot of help from the Bloom with Grace papers! Can you tell this sunflower print is my absolute favorite! It is just so cheerful. The sunflowers pair well with the sentiments from the A Million Little Things stamp set. While this set is on the retired list, a few sets remain in the Online Only section of my website. The Online Only section is a treasure trove of items that are not featured in any of the current print catalogs! Here is a look at the complete set-
To create my card, I inked my sentiment in Intense Black ink. I added in a few ink spots with Fern ink. I am totally not a messy stamper (unless of course you are looking at the craft room), so adding ink with stamps is totally my thing! While being totally honest….I probably need a new blade in my trimmer and my white edges were not super sharp. No worries, I just went along with the edges with my scissors to add a texture to the whole panel! No paper was wasted in the creating of this card! My sunflower is part of the sticker sheet that is available with the paper packet. I added a little burlap twine and popped up the sunflower with 3-D foam tape for added dimension.

I love the cheery colors on this pretty card! Glad to see you in the FMS gallery, Allisa!
So pretty! I love the sunflowers and that sentiment is wonderful. So glad to see you this week at FMS!
Such a sweet card Allisa, with that lovely sentiment and beautiful sunflower sticker. I know what you mean about yellow, yet there are times when it is just the right thing, like sunflowers!
Hi Allisa!
Your card is STUNNING. I haven't looked at a Close To My Heart catalog in many years. But seeing this stamp set and GORGEOUS card, it's pretty clear that I should take a look. I'll try to go to your site and if I find some things I can't live without, I will definitely order them through YOU. You've inspired me. I especially LOVE the splattery dots in this stamp set. GORGEOUS, and the soft yellows are truly lovely. You did an amazing job. God has definitely blessed you with some wonderful talents, and I'm SUPER grateful that you choose to come by and share those talents with us. I enjoy your art quite a bit and I look forward to visiting your blog again soon – so I do hope you'll continue to link up with us often. You can share up to 5 cards each week (so 10 per challenge). I look forward to seeing your creativity. I prayed for you as I stopped by today, and I do hope that you will trust God for ALL your needs and look to Him when you need encouragement (or anything really). The LORD loves you SO much, and He wants to be your Savior and friend. Thanks again for sharing with us. it's a real treat for my eyes. I'm off to do some catalog browsing. FUN!
Blessings to you,
Karen Letchworth
