Playing along with one of my favorite sketch challenges, Freshly Made Sketches! The whole idea is to keep it clean, so white it is! I so love the crisp clean lines of white cards…..but I sometimes struggle getting them made without a stray ink mark! I make sure and wipe down my Versamat before I start on white projects just to play it safe! Here is the original sketch design if you would like to play along-
I inked up one of my favorite flowers from the A Million Little Things stamp set. The set is now sadly retired, but it has earned a permanent spot in my stamp collection. My image was stamped in Intense Black ink and then colored with Prismacolor pencils. I blended out the pencils with Gamsol. Often if you add multiple layers of pencils to your stamped image, the image will not be as crisp as when you started. To combat this, I restamp my image after I complete my coloring. This insures that I have crisp clear lines.
My card base is 5″ x 5″. I die cut the top panel with a stitched square die. My stamped image was then fussy cut and strategically placed in the frame. I popped up the top panel with 3-D foam tape for added dimension.
