Freshly Made Sketches #51

Time
for a new sketch from Freshly Made Sketches!
Our sketch design is brought to us by Cindy Hall.  So hard to believe, that September is here already.  The leaves are already changing colors, the days are getting shorter and the nights are getting cooler.  Fall is almost here….and winter comes quickly after in Wyoming!

My mittens were cut with the Cricut Artiste cartridge.  The cartridge comes with the base layer and then the decorative top layer.  I cut both at 1″.  I ran the bottom layer through my Xyron machine.  I adhered the top layer and then added white fun flock to the remaining adhesive.  A little piece of Baker’s twine ties them together! A tiny touch of bling from my Bitty Sparkles finishes them off!

All supplies by Close To My Heart, except where noted:

  1. Are the mittens on the artiste cartridge? I've been through that book many times and never even noticed them. (Happy dance in my work chair right now!) Cute card, Miss Allisa!

  3. So nice to hear that is cooling down somewhere, because it is still HOT!! in GA! (LOL)
Your card is gorgeous. pulling the polka dot pattern from the mittens and using that as the inspiration for your decorative center strips works wonderfully and adds visual interest to the card. Also I love how you used swiss dots embossing on your focal to continue that design scheme. It really finishes off this beautiful project. Thanks so much for sharing with us at Jackson's Digital Expressions.

  4. Hi Allisa! Wow! Those mittens are adorable. I'm a disaster with fun flock but I might have to give it a try again. Beautiful card!
