Freshly Made Sketches #55

We have a fun sketch from Jen Mitchell this week at Freshly Made Sketches. My card was created with the Workshops on the Go Spellbound Kit.  While this kit was made for creating a Halloween themed party.  I found it to be perfect for cards!  For starters, I had to have the stamp set…which is only available in the kit.  The fun papers are perfect for making Halloween cards.  Here is a look at the kit contents(cardstock is also included and is not shown in the pic):

And the Freshly Made Sketch by Jen Mitchell:

My spider web and all shapes on my card were cut with the Cricut Artiste cartridge. For my banner strip, I stamped the background stamp in black pigment ink and embossed in clear.

Design Tip: Stamping with black pigment ink and embossing with clear powder is much easier than stamping with clear ink and embossing with black powder.  If you  happen to have any stray embossing powder on your project, the clear will barely show up.  Whereas tiny specks of black are very visible on the finished project.  Stamping with colored inks and embossing in clear powder helps insure a clean finished project.

All supplies by Close To My Heart, except where noted:

Z1790 Cricut Artiste Cartridge

G1040 Spellbound Cricut Kit

Z2503 Basics Pigment Ink

Z821 Clear Embossing Powder

Black Bling Spider by Making Memories
