Freshly Made Sketches #62

Time for a new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.  The sketch this week is brought to us by Jen M!  I had ever intent of doing a Christmas themed card……..I somehow managed to get way off path to the rustic western look.  I am sure it had something to do with a new stamp set just begging to be inked!

The stamp set is a new release by My Favorite Things.  I am a sucker for horse stamps, so it quickly went into my cart upon release!  I knew the set would go great with the Dakota paper line by Close To My Heart.  I really wanted to add some black burlap to my design…but was short on time…and dying burlap take a little time, at least the drying part!  I ended up adding some drywall tape, colored with a black Copic for added texture.

All supplies by Close To My Heart, except where noted:

Z2503 Basics Pigment Inks

Z2429 Ruby Marker Set

I have entered my card in the following challenges:

  5. Oh my gosh! I love everything about this card! The colored drywall tape is sheer genius! I'm not sure whether it's ribbon or a strip of DSP on top of the black grosgrain, but I love that, too!
