Freshly Made Sketches #663

In my aspiration of making lemonade out of life’s lemons, I was able to attend the Simple Stories Warehouse sale. My son unfortunately broke his glasses and is unable to drive or in his view go to school without them. Getting glasses can take weeks in Wyoming. So, off to Utah we went to get glasses in just a few hours. It just so happened that Simple Stories was having their warehouse sale at the same time. So, once glasses were secured…I managed to make it by the sale to work on restocking the craft room! If you can ever make it to one of their sales, I highly recommend it. They had awesome pricing and a good selection, especially when you consider the sale had already been in progress for a few days when I got there. I will definitely try and attend on day one in the future. I pulled out one of my purchases to play along with the sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches

My card was created with patterned papers from The Holiday Life collection by Simple Stories. A strip of burlap stands in for part of the sketch for a country Christmas feel. While it is hard to tell in the photos, the top panel is popped up with foam tape for added dimension. A little bling was added with a shimmer pen to the berries.

Supply list:

  • Pattern Paper: The Holiday Life Collection-Simple Stories
  • Pine Cardstock-Close To My Heart
  • Red Cardstock-Blush Cardstock Pack-Memory Box
  • Rosy Shimmer Pen-Close To My Heart
  • Burlap-Close To My Heart

I have also entered my card in the following challenges:

Thanks so much for stopping by!
