Freshly Made Sketches #93

Welcome back to another great week atFreshly Made Sketches!  I am the hostess this week!  I went with a clean and simple sketch for two reasons.  1. We always seem to be in need of a quick card and 2. I just returned from the Annual Close To My Heart Convention and knew my crafting time would be minimal, which takes us back to number 1!  Here is my sketch design, feel free to keep is CAS or dress it up!

The upcoming Autumn/Winter Idea Book has a fun section of stamps from Jeanette’s Stamp Archive.  Close To My Heart is bringing back select stamp designs from previous catalogs.  Think way back….all the way back to woodies!  The fun part for me was….I still have a few of these stamp sets in wood!  They were favorites that earned themselves a place in my stamp collection.  This card features one of them.  I can’t wait to get this set in clear acrylic….but my woodie was brought out for the special occasion!  Fairly certain this stamp set hails from the 90’s…..but has remained a favorite of mine.

I added a little dimension to my image by popping up my balloons and paper piecing the stars and birthday cake.  I also went in and added a little glitter with my Copic Spica Pen.  Fun stamp set that I happy to share with those of you that might have missed it so long ago!
