Amy has a cute sketch for us this week at Freshly Made Sketches. I could not resist the urge to flip the sketch! While my original idea was going to use a an actual tag, I ended up going with a tad more elegant design. I was determined to ink up my new poppy stamp set and let the rest of my card come together around my image. After finally re-organizing my Copics, I decided I needed to actually use them as well. The only way I am ever going to perfect using them is to practice, practice, practice!
While I have been collecting Copics for a couple of years now, I have probably only colored a couple of dozen images. I am amazed at the artwork some of the cardmakers out there create with them. Let’s just say when I grow up, I want to be able to color like they do!
I added a few layers to the inside as well, love the added pop of black.

Beautiful Allisa! Well done coloring the poppy – I always find that reds are some of the hardest colors to do!
Beautifully colored! And the dsp only adds to the elegance of this card!
That poppy is gorgeous (thanks in large part to your coloring), and I love the font on the sentiment. Beautiful, Allisa!

I was so happy when I saw your non-tag card Allisa! I was afraid I'd be the only one! It must be the copics! Your card is beautiful – I love the red flower and the patterned papers!
