Freshly Made Sketches Celebration

So excited to be sharing new products with you!  In case you missed it, the NEW Close To My Heart catalogs were released today!  So fun….and there are two catalogs full of awesome products.  There are two huge differences though…one is our annual core catalog and the other is a bi-monthly seasonal product catalog.  While I love the idea of new products every two months…that also means your favorites will be gone before you know it!  If you have to chose between products from the two catalogs, I would get your favorites from the seasonal catalog first!  As soon as I saw the catalogs, I knew that the Sunflower Sympathy set would be my first purchase!  Love the layered sunflowers and one can never have enough sentiment stamps!  This set can be purchased alone or with coordinating Thin Cuts.    While I had to have the Thin Cuts, I ended up fussy cutting the flower on this card.  Here is a look at the complete set-

The possibilites are endless with the layers in this sunflower set.  For this card, I chose to stamp onto the Hawthorn pattern paper.  The paper just seemed perfect for a sunflower!  I inked my sunflower in pigment ink and clear embossed to keep my image sharp on the pattern paper.  Here is a look at the Hawthorn Paper Pack-

While I had originally planned to use the plaid paper for my background, I thought the embossed background was a better fit for keeping it clean for the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge.  Not to mention I was able to use the NEW Stitched Circles Embossing Folder!  Love this folder!  I guarantee this folder will sell out…do not wait to add it your collection!  Here is the original sketch design-

This card was super fun to make.  I have always been a huge fan of burlap and I think sunflowers and burlap just go together.  I could not resist adding in a little burlap twine for added texture.  I have to admit, I have totally jumped onto the fall bandwagon with this stamp set!  More sunflower projects to come!
