Global Design Project #282

I have no idea where this year has gone so fast…but at the speed we are going, graduation will be here before you know it! I decided I had better get a jump start on creating graduation cards.  The Howdy Neighbor set by Close To My Heart is perfect for graduation and includes a variety of sentiments for many occasions.  The set is available with or without Thin Cuts, and includes 25 stamps!  Here is a look at the complete set-

I was inspired by the sketch challenge at Global Design Project.  The layered sentiment seemed perfect for a graduation card.  Here is the original sketch design-

My card is super simple to create.  I used a graduation cap embossing folder on White Daisy cardstock.  I  layered the White Daisy cardstock over a strip of Evergreen cardstock.  A strip of twine was added along the edge for added texture.  My Congrats sentiment was stamped in Evergreen ink and applied with 3-D foam dots for added dimension. The So Proud of You sentiment sentiment was stamped in Saffron ink and applied directly to the card base.

All supplies by Close To My Heart, except where noted:
