Good Times Birthday

I have decided that I will actually start using some of my stash vs. hoarding it for years to come.  I love the patterned paper by Close To My Heart.  So much so, that I have tons sitting on the shelf.  It seems I am often saving it for the perfect layout.  This card was made with the Good Times paper packet.  Fairly certain it was released years ago! All supplies by Close To My Heart.

The sketch is based on the sketch challenge this week at Frosted Designs.

Design Tip-All of the banners are hand cut.  I sponged chocolate ink on all pieces to add dimension.

  3. Your card is so wonderful! I love the colors you've used on this! I also really like how you've matted the pennants with a solid paper. That really makes them pop against the green background. Your banner across the bottom tied with baker's twine is really a nice touch, too! Thanks for sharing your card with us at Simon Says Stamp and Show. <3 Candy

  7. Hello,

Your cards are beautifully designed. Could you share tips about hand-cutting those banners? I really struggle with getting my banner cuts even and yours all look perfect. Thanks for any help you can give.

  8. Rita-I don't have any secrets for cutting the banners. I mostly just eyeball it and use my micro-tip scissors. Trust me, they do not all turn out perfect! I figure if they are slightly imperfect, that is just part of a handmade card. Thanks for stopping by!
