H2H Distressing Challenge

Every
Monday, brings a new challenge at Heart 2 Heart Challenges.  This week is to create a project using
distressing.  You can use any type of
distressing, just be sure and mention which type you used.

I used a couple of favorites in my card design, both of which will no longer be available to purchase after May 31.  The sunflower, leaves and saying came from the May Stamp of the Month-Friendship Bouquet.

 The
yellow dotted paper is from the Dotty For You Paper Packet-

My card is based on the sketch this week at Unscripted Sketches

All
supplies by Close To My Heart-

S1205 Friendship Bouquet

CC1017 Dotty For You

1388 Colonial White Cardstock

X5642 Cocoa Cardstock

Z2114 Cocoa Ink

Z2103 Bamboo Ink

Z2362 Honey Marker

Z2351 Sunkiss Yellow Marker

Z2352 Sunny Yellow Marker

Z2320 Garden Green Marker

Z2337 Olive Marker

3174 Blending Pen

Z1387 Wood Buttons

Z1701 Neutral Twine

Generic Embroidery Thread

Z1297 Edge Distresser

Z1380 Spray Pens

Z679 Liquid Glass

I used many forms of distressing on my card.  I used the edge distressing tool on the dotty paper and my colonial white square.  I distressed the edges of the paper with coca ink as well.  For the colonial white square I spritzed with water, crumpled and then distressed with more cocoa ink.  I even distressed my baker’s twine by adding Bamboo ink to take away the whiteness.

  2. Stunning card! Love the attention that you pay to all the small detals – like inking the Baker's twine – so clever! Is that real stitching? If so, wow! If not, then you did a fabulous job of making it look real! Thanks for choosing to play along with us this week at Unscripted Sketches 🙂
