Holiday Wishes Peace on Earth Card

This is my entry for the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge #217.  You are probably thinking….didn’t I just see this card???  I did post a very similar card yesterday.  This card was actually made with my Oops ornament.  I cut the ornament out with the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge and then stamped in sky blue ink.  I then went over the image with a two-way glue pen and applied Prisma Glitter.    While it had some shimmer, it was just not what I was looking for yesterday.  The glitter was a little loose, so I went over the image with Liquid Glass to seal in the glitter and give it a little more dimension.  Today, I went in to start on the Mojo Monday sketch….and there sat the ornament, just begging to be put on a card!  So, the colors and stamp are the same as yesterday….but different techniques and a different sketch.   The ornament might not have had enough bling for the card yesterday, but is just right for today’s sketch.  All supplies by Close To My Heart except where noted.

  1. I love both of these cards with the bird ornament. Not sure how you attached the ornament to the card on this one. What kind of hook is it?

  2. Bonny-the ornament on this card is mounted on pop dots. I looped the silver cord through the ornament top and taped on the back of the pattern paper to give it the effect of hanging on the card. If you click on the pictures, you can see an enlarged view which will help you see the details of the silver cording. Thanks for all the comments!
