As many of you know, I have been working on re-organizing my scrapbook room. I still do not have everything in its place, but just had to share my new ink organizer! I have tried many ink organizers over the years….I always seem to outgrow them or they are just not quite what I needed. I have finally found the ink organizer of my dreams……….or rather had someone build the ink organizer of my dreams! I know there are a variety of organizers on the market…..but they all seem to lean to one type of pad or the other. As I have mentioned before, I am equal opportunity stamper, so I needed something that would hold ink from various companies. Not only did I need the organizer to hold various styles of pads…..I wanted my reinkers to be stored with my pads. I was so tired of searching through bottles to find the reinker that I needed for a particular project. The majority of my pads are by Close To My Heart. CTMH is very generous with their reinkers! The larger bottle size offered by CTMH does not lend well to most organizers on the market. I came across Jerry Fraser from
I also increased the size of the unit to accommodate my stamp pad collection. I have a little room left for new colors in the future. Here is a pic of my unit compared to the SU unit that Jerry normally builds.
Along with my obsession for finding an organizer that would accommodate the CTMH reinkers, I also wanted it to be able to hold various styles of markers. I have a ton of the old style CTMH markers which are still going strong, so no need to replace them…not to mention the Copic collection. This unit will hold SU, CTMH and Copic style markers. I love having all of my ink right at my fingertips! If you feel you have to have one as well, you can contact Jerry at spearthrower at live.ca. He was great to work with and delivered the unit when promised. I highly recommend his products! I am not being paid in any way for endorsing his ink organizers, just wanted to share the information!
This is the unit I replaced. This unit holds 76 stamp pads and markers. It will also accommodate various sizes of ink pads and markers. The reinkers can be stored in the tray on top of the unit. I loved that this unit only had an 11” x 11” footprint on my desk. I have listed this unit for sale on EBay. Now that I have my new organizer, this one is just taking up space. At the time I wrote this, bidding was at $39.95. Only a fraction of what I paid for the unit. If this unit will work for your needs, you can pick it up at a great price! The auction closes on Friday evening, so hurry over if you want to place a bid!
If you only have Close To My Heart Ink pads and newer style markers…I highly recommend the CTMH Ink Pad Organizer. It is a great compact unit. You can also get the unit with a carrying case for portable storage.
