Just Add Ink #492

I so love creating layers of pine branches with the Spruced Up Cardmaking Stamp Set.  The moment I saw the Sketch Challenge at Just Add Ink, I knew this set would be a perfect match.  Here is the original sketch design-

To create my card, I started with an oval base in French Vanilla cardstock.  I stamped up my pine branches in New England Ivy ink and stamped directly onto the paper.  I then stamped a few extra branches and cut them out with their coordinating Thin Cuts dies. I stamped my bird in Intense Black ink and added in a touch of color with Copic markers, T0, T1. The pinecones were stamped in Espresso ink and color added with Copic markers, E13, E33. The bird and pinecones were then die cut as well.  I layered my branches onto the oval base, not worrying about the overhanging branches.  My first layer was adhered directly to the paper, then next layer was applied with 3-D foam tape.  Once my branches were complete, I trimmed off the excess branches to keep my oval shape.  I placed my bird among the branches, mounting it with 3-D foam tape as well.  I finished off my shape with a stamped banner and a few pinecones.
