Life is a Circle

I so hate it when adulting gets in the way of crafting! Crafting is just good for my soul! I live in a rural area, where a trip to town (aka the grocery store) is an all day affair. We don’t have the luxuries of home delivery either…..if you want food you are either going to travel for it or grow it yourself! My green thumb is lacking, so travel it is! I have ended up in town way more than I have liked the past few days, which has drastically cut into my crafting time! I had a special request for a retirement card, so I got out my new Spellbinders die and stamp of the month for June and played with some cardstock! I don’t think I used this die set to it’s full potential, but my time to create was minimal!

My card was super simple to create, I simple cut the landscape die out of various shades of cardstock and assembled them together. You can create a variety of landscapes with this set, I was going for a desert mountain scene….as that is pretty much my current landscape. Green is very minimal in the desert! We have lots and lots of sand! My tone on tone look was created with the two sided cardstock by Close To My Heart. The cardstock by Close To My Heart is two toned. With a lighter shade on one side and a darker shade on the other. The two toned colors add lots of mileage to your cardstock collection. You can view all of the Close To My Heart cardstock colors here.

All supplies by Close To My Heart, except where noted:
