Time for a new challenge at Make the Cards Challenge! This week we are having an Old School Challenge. We want to see your creations with eyelets, ribbon, embossing folders, stitching, buttons and or cardstock layers. I managed to include everything but the ribbon and eyelets. I have plenty of eyelets in my stash…..but no idea where the eyelet setter might be!

I did dig deep into the stash to create my card. The embroidery thread and buttons have not seen the light of day in ages! I did spend some time making sure all of my elements color matched, but my camera thought otherwise. I have yet to master photographing items that absorb or reflect light differently, hence they all look different colors in the photo.
My card is created with the Glacier and Espresso tones that are found in the White Pines Collection. This collection was brought back for Christmas in July and is still available through the end of this month. The collection includes stamp sets, pattern papers, cardstock and a coordinating sticker sheet. Save 20% when you purchase a bundle of products!
I added a vintage feel to my card, by inking all of the cardstock pieces with Espresso ink. I handstitched the pieces together and added stitching to the buttons. My glacier panel was embossed with a snowflake embossing folder. The trio of snowflakes are from the sticker sheet and are mounted with 3-D foam tape for added dimension. A bit of sparkle was added to the snowflakes with a clear shimmer brush. My sentiment was stamped in Espresso ink.
