Make the Cards Challenge #29

Time for a new challenge at Make the Cards Challenge! This week we are having a Back to School theme challenge. We had our first day of school yesterday, so the challenge was truly fitting. It is the perfect time to get started on teacher thank you cards. Great teacher’s truly do make a difference in a child’s life.

I dug deep into the stash to create my card. My card is created with the help of the School Daze 6×6 paper pad by My Mind’s Eye. I used a variety of papers from the pack to create my school scene. All of my die cut elements were cut from the papers as well. This pack has been in my stash for years, so no idea if you can still find it. The pattern papers were matted in retired Cranberry cardstock to make the yellow tones pop. My sentiment is from a retired Close To My Heart stamp set, Teacher Appreciation. It was fun to show some love to some “old school” products. Newsflash, Close To My Heart is coming out with a new school themed line in September!

All supplies by Close To My Heart, except where noted:

  • D1962 Teacher Appreciation Stamp Set-Retired
  • Cranberry Cardstock-Retired
  • School Daze 6×6 Paper Pad-My Mind’s Eye
  • Stitched Die-MFT
  • Z4189 Intense Black Exclusive Inks Stamp Pad

I have entered my card in the following challenges:

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope to see your back to school themed creation in the gallery at Make the Cards Challenge!
