Make the Cards Challenge #32

Fall is my favorite time of year. I love the cooler temps and the gorgeous changing colors. We are having a Tic Tac Toe Challenge this week at Make the Cards Challenge and is was the perfect time to get started on Thanksgiving cards. I often send Thanksgiving cards, as they are so unexpected.

I went with Background Stamp, Tag and Favorite Color. My favorite color totally changes with the season, but I love all the brown tones come Fall. I inked up the new Horn of Plenty stamp set and colored the image with Prismacolor pencils. My pencils were shaded with Gamsol. I then went over the image with a Gold Shimmer Brush.

Using the Tags & Tabs Thin Cuts, I cut two tags, one in my favorite burlap and the other in Espresso. In keeping with the gold theme, I tied the two tags together with gold ribbon, tied off with an Espresso twine bow. My Shortbread cardstock was stamped with coordinating Shortbread ink to give a tone on tone look for my background. While, it is hard to tell in the photos, I added gold splatter to the whole design with a Gold Shimmer Brush. Fun leaf sequins finish off the card.
