Make the Cards Challenge #34

We are back with a fun new challenge at Make the Cards Challenge! This week we are featuring a color challenge. I was torn between creating a fall card or a Halloween creation. It seems I am always in need of more Thank You cards, so a fall themed Thank you card it is! I can’t wait to see your creations with the below colors!

My card is created with the fall themed papers from the new Pumpkin Spice collection. I love these tree clusters and they were perfect for the color challenge. My sentiment is from the current Stamp of the Month, Grateful for this Life. I changed the sentiments up to meet my needs. While many will take the time to mask off their stamps to get just the part of the image they want, I am all for trimming my stamps to meet my needs. The great thing about clear stamps is it is super easy to cut them to your liking. Plus, they easily slid back together for the original image. Here is the original stamp set-

I trimmed the Thankful and For you stamps to create my Thank you sentiment. The stamps are easy to reposition back to their original form on your block or stamping platform. This set is only available in the month of September. You can add it to a qualifying order for only $5 or earn the set for free as a VIP member. Not yet a VIP member, you can get all the details here.

My card is super simple to create. I just added a few strips of cardstock along the bottom of my pattern paper in Nectarine and Papaya. The sentiment was stamped in Papaya ink. My sentiment banner was applied with 3-D foam tape for added dimension. A bit of burlap twine and gold glitter gems complete the card.

All supplies by Close To My Heart, except where noted:
