Make the Cards Challenge #35

We are having a Theme Challenge this week at Make the Cards Challenge! Come join us with your version of Country Life plus Buffalo Plaid. There are plenty of deer in the country, so a holiday card with buffalo plaid it is!

My card was created with the new Holly & Ivy Scrapbooking Stamp & Thin Cuts set. I love the script sentiments and sweet deer images that are featured in the set. The set features 16 stamps and is available with or without 2 coordinating Thin Cuts.

My card is a little bit country, and a little bit elegant. I stamped my deer image with Espresso ink onto Toffee cardstock. A few details were added in with white and gold gel pens. The completed image was mounted with foam tape for added dimension. My sentiment was stamped in VersaMark ink and heat embossed in gold. My buffalo plaid started out as Candy Apple and White Daisy. I gave it a more country feel by sponging on Toffee ink. A few gold branches and gold glitter gems finish off the card.

  1. Sweet card Allisa. I like how the combination of the red plaid with the kraft gives this quite a Vintage feel. Thank you for entering the Include the word Joy Challenge at CHNC.
