Make the Cards Challenge #41

We have a new challenge up at Make the Cards Challenge! This week we are having a sketch challenge. You are welcome to use any product in your creation. Here is the original sketch design for you to come play along-

In celebration of National Cupcake Day, I dug out some old favorites to create a fun birthday card. Who knew there was even such a thing as Cupcake day? But, it sounds like a good reason to eat a cupcake to me! I subbed in my large sentiment stamp from Sweetest Birthday Wishes for the circle shape in the sketch design. My image was stamped in Intense Black ink with colored added with Prismacolor pencils. The pencils were blended with Gamsol. I added some Diamond Stickles to my icing for a little added bling. The completed image was mounted with 3-D foam tape for added dimension. My papers are from the retired Confetti Wishes Collection. I wanted a little bit more bling and added some silver glitter gems to the design and scalloped border. A layered bow finishes off the card.
