Merry Monday #52

Time for a new challenge at Merry Monday! We are having a color challenge this week.  We want to see your Christmas creations in Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke and River Rock.  Feel free to use similar colors in  your creations, SU papers are not required.  The Close To My Heart colors in my creation are Cranberry, New England Ivy and Champagne.

I usually create my Challenge cards on the weekends…but due  to traveling this weekend….no craft time for me! I was seriously lacking crafting mojo on Sunday night!  I surfed by a few sketch sites…but nothing was jumping out at me for a card design.  Just when I thought a card was not going to be in the works tonight, I decided to take a look at the Make It From Your Heart book by Jeanette Lynton.  The night was saved!  I found this great card pattern and completed my card in minutes!  Make It From Your Heart is a complete pattern book for scrapbooking and cardmaking.  All patterns include measurements and full color examples.  The book gives you detailed instructions for 30 patterns.  Regardless of your experience level, this is a great book to have for reference!  It was a life saver for me!

All of the items on my card, with the exception of the cardstock are retired.  I hope to use up my Christmas stash over the next few months….so I will have plenty of excuses to stock up with new items come summer!

I kept the inside simple, adding a strip of pattern paper from the scrap pile!

  2. I love your card! I keep forgetting about that book. I am still loving this paper packet and maybe need to see if you still have some. Will CTMH be able to top this paper this holiday season?
